Cricketer Nasir Jamshed is in yet another predicament, the prospect of being deported from England

Cricketer Nasir Jamshed is likely to be deported from England after being convicted of spot-fixing.

Nasir Jamshed is currently in jail in England, he was sentenced to 17 months in prison for his involvement in spot-fixing in Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) and Pakistan Super League (PSL) matches, while the Anti-Corruption Tribunal has imposed a 10-year ban on Nasir Jamshed.

According to a leading cricket website, Nasir Jamshed will apply for bail on October 21 and if the bail is granted, he is likely to be deported from England.

On the other hand, Nasir Jamshed’s wife says in this regard that she has not received any information about this from the Home Office or Prison Services, so she cannot comment on it.

It should be noted that Nasir Jamshed was living in Birmingham with his wife and daughter.

National Crime Agency arrested Nasir Jamshed for spot-fixing after investigation, Nasir Jamshed and associates attempted spot-fixing during Bangladesh Premier League 2016 and PSL 2017.

During the BPL, the batsman was persuaded not to score runs on the first two balls of the over for money.

In 2016, Nasir Jamshed told an undercover officer that six BPL players were working for him and that 30,000 pounds per match was distributed among the players.

Nasir Jamshed initially confessed to the court after denying bribery in the PSL for which the Pakistan Cricket Board had imposed a 10-year ban on Nasir Jamshed last year.
