Faced with total defeat, Adolf Hitler committed suicide in Berlin in April 1945, shortly before the Red Army captured the Chancellery’s underground bunker. His end also marked the end of the regime, which left Germany in ruins.

One day after their wedding, in the Führer’s fortress (Berlin), they took the poison, as the Soviets were about 500 meters from the Chancellery building and World War II was taking a definitive turn.
Besieged in his bunker, Hitler knew the end had come. The Red Army was rapidly approaching Berlin. On April 30, 1945, Eva Brown committed suicide with hydrogen cyanide. At the same time, Hitler put a pistol in his mouth and fired.
