A convincing Romeo Lavia savors his big return after a nightmare season

Thinking about the positive, Lavia has already done it before the break. Since the end of last season, the young Belgian has worked hard to prepare his return to the forefront. Physically ready, the former Southampton player has proven to be one of the most attractive players of the off-season. And in a core that is overflowing and presents more than 40 players, Lavia has managed to free up a place of choice in the eyes of the new coach Enzo Maresca.

The two men had already crossed paths in the Manchester City reserve team, where the Italian coach took his first steps and where the Belgian midfielder was trained after leaving Anderlecht. Systematically starting in pre-season matches, Roméo Lavia therefore logically reached the starting eleven against Chelsea and now hopes to continue on this path. This is my first real season“, commented Lavia, impatient to see his team evolve.

“We are building something incredible. Everyone at the club feels it. Not just the players but everyone,” Lavia told the Daily Mail, proof of the boy’s enthusiasm at the start of the season.

An enthusiasm and performances that will certainly be closely scrutinized by a certain Dominic German. The national coach had called Lavia up at his first meeting at the head of the Red Devils and had even offered him 10 minutes of play against Germany. Why not bet on him again for a reunion at the beginning of September?
