Strong revelation from Fabiola Yáñez

BUENOS AIRES (EFE).— The ex-partner of former Argentine President Alberto Fernández, Fabiola Yáñez, reported yesterday that he constantly threatened her with suicide, one of the forms of “psychological terrorism” that, she said, he exercised against her.

The 43-year-old actress and journalist made these statements in an exclusive interview in Madrid, where she lives with her two-year-old son Francisco, given to the Argentine portal “Infobae”, the first since the complaint she filed with the Justice of her country against the former president (2019-2023) for physical violence and harassment became known.

“This person (Fernández) spent two months – all the chats are there and many people know about it – threatening me every other day that if I did this, if I did that, he would commit suicide. That is not done, that is a crime. How am I going to be there for my son if I have a person telling me those things? Every other day, for two months. But that was the last thing this person did,” she declared.

Fabiola Yáñez also said that the former president had committed many infidelities and that the latest videos released, in which a well-known radio and television journalist supposedly flirts with him, “are nothing compared to the things he has done.”

“I have taken care of this man; I have taken care of him from so many things that he has done, from so many things, that those videos that appeared the other day are nothing compared to the things that he has done,” Fabiola Yáñez reiterated in the interview, in which she confessed that she lived her last months as first lady apart from Fernández in the Alex Reed house at Quinta de Olivos (presidential residence) and not in another home, “wanting to help him.”

In Buenos Aires, the Argentine justice system searched the former president’s apartment and seized his cell phone as part of an investigation into alleged gender-based violence reported by Fabiola Yáñez, local media reported yesterday.

Judicial sources cited by local press confirmed that the procedure, ordered by prosecutors Carlos Rívolo and Ramiro González, took place the night before last in the building in the capital’s Puerto Madero neighborhood where the former president lives.
