MEXICO CITY.- The head of the Capital Prosecutor’s Office, Ulysses Laraassured that the Chihuahua state ministerial staff did not count at no time with the collaborative office which is required to carry out a diligence of its jurisdiction, this in reference to the attempted arrest of the Former Governor Javier Corral.
He pointed out that the document presented by the agents of the Chihuahua Prosecutor’s Office was only a “internal document which under no circumstances authorizes them to break into a foreign entity and thereby violate its sovereignty, much less to comply with a court order.”
Ulises Lara emphasized that “under There was no question of a rescue under any circumstances as it has been wrongly and fraudulently pointed out. We strictly comply with the law.”
Compliance with a court order
Through a message to the media, he said that last night, received a call on behalf of the Javier Corral Jurado’s team. In it they reported that, when they found armed people in a restaurant who said they were members of the Investigative Police of the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office from ChihuahuaThey entered the establishment with the purpose of depriving him of his freedom under the argument of compliance with a court order.
When checking with the Chief General of the Investigative Police of this Prosecutor’s Office, Francisco Almazán Barocio, whether agents of the institution accompanied said diligence, and when he indicated that they were not, he decided to appear at the place.
Ulises Lara said that upon arriving at the site he confirmed that without the presence of investigative police from Mexico City, who arrived after his arrival, they were seeking to carry out the diligence, under the protection of an internal document dated August 14, 2024, which does not correspond to an acceptance of the collaboration.

“Therefore, and of his own free will, Mr. Javier Corral decided to accompany me to the offices of this institution in order to clarify his legal situation, from where he left on his own, as this Prosecutor’s Office did not have any document or court order ordering his arrest,” he said.
He mentioned that the General Directorate of Attention and Compliance with Judicial Orders received the aforementioned letter at 8:16 p.m., that is, just a few minutes before that was sought execute the commandment judicial.
