“I’m depressed, it was the worst concert of my career, a nightmare”. The famous French DJ Bob Sinclar he let himself go in a video of venting on Instagram, after his performance in a club in Mykonos, Greece. Harsh words from the artist who has made entertainment his profession, who this time wanted to spend a few words on a very bad habit of many of us: “You enter a wonderful place, there are beautiful girls and you think it will be a fun evening, but everyone has a cell phone in their hand, they are filming, they are like anesthetized”the DJ said.
“I played as I always do, a French touch, a little commercial, a little techno, a little deep. People were numb with their phones in their hands, I don’t know what they were waiting for with that phone. I played all my hits and they were amorphous. Completely dead”he continued. “I repeat, I am depressed, but maybe it is my fault, I don’t know. I don’t know what happened, I wanted to share it with you. All DJs are very lucky to be able to share the best moments of their lives at every concert, and yet I have never been so bored at a concert. It sucks”said the DJ who is the author of many successful hits such as the one with Raffaella Carra.
Bob Sinclar concludes by urging the kids not to use their cell phones in the disco. This is nothing new, artists have been complaining about the use of cell phones during concerts for a long time, which makes you lose the magic of the moment in the hunt for the best video and photo to show on social media.
Luckily, not all audiences behave in the same way and, as the French DJ showed in another post, the evening in Cannes, France, was of a completely different nature: “Finally a good night. At Baoli in Cannes I had my revenge, I played what I wanted, two hours of uncompromising house and the last hour all disco funk. There were no cell phones, people were dancing and having fun. A full of energy”.
