The invited guests who attended in person to attend the 79th Indonesian Independence Day ceremony at the State Palace of the Indonesian Capital (IKN), East Kalimantan, each received a souvenir in the form of a multifunctional duffle bag in gray or dark blue.
One of the construction workers of PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Habibi revealed the details of the souvenirs he received on Indonesia’s anniversary this time.
“I received the invitation because I happened to be working on a project here,” said Habibi at the State Palace Yard, IKN, East Kalimantan, Saturday (17/8/2024).
The duffle bag contains several items, such as a dark brown hat, a light gray tote bag, a light gray t-shirt, and a gray notebook. The duffel bag itself can be widened, and turns into a parachute jacket with a hood in the same color.
Another resident, Hardiyanto, 41, from Sepaku District, East Kalimantan, said he was happy to be one of the guests who attended. He received an invitation from the RT. Each RT receives 6-10 invitations for its residents.
“There were 6 people invited to my sub-district, but only 4 or 5 people came, some didn’t come,” said Hardiyanto.
Hardiyanto said that residents who did not come had their own activities. On the other hand, he appreciated the invitation and presence of the IKN in his area.
“Appreciate it, because of the development in this area,” said Hardiyanto. (Try/P-3)
