Lasse Björn is seen as one of Swedish hockey’s greatest players of all time.
He spent 18 seasons in Djurgården and won a total of nine SM golds between 1950 and 1963 – more than anyone else – as well as two WC golds before the end of his career in 1967.
“We send our thoughts to family and relatives and remember an eternal Järnkamin,” writes Djurgården on its website.
