Heating allowance: More than 830,000 applications – Deadline for submission, when the first payment

Last chance until Friday, December 8th have households to apply to myheating platform in order to receive it heating allowance. The first payments to the accounts of the beneficiaries are expected to be paid on the 22nd of the same month.

Already the number of applications through the myHeating platform has exceeded 830,000 and in the first “round” of payments those who hurry to apply for the allowance will be paid until next week, specifically until Friday, December 8. The allowance will be paid in three installments.

Who can apply?

Those who meet the income limits and “burn” – among others – oil, natural gas or firewood can apply. The process for those with their own burner in an apartment building or those who live in a single-family house is relatively simple, but it becomes a little more complex in the case of central heating. The payment of the allowance will be made in three installments and will be related to the date of registration of the relevant documents:

  • Until December 22, 2023 for all purchases, which will be invoiced until November 30, 2023, and provided that the required information is entered by December 8, 2023.
  • Until February 29, 2024 for all purchases to be invoiced until January 31, 2024 and provided the required information is entered by February 15, 2024.
  • Until April 30, 2024 for all purchases that will be invoiced until March 31, 2024 and provided that the required information is entered until April 15, 2024. Especially for natural gas and for the consumption of thermal energy through district heating, they will be entered until on July 15, 2024 supporting documents with the date of issue of the payment document by June 30, 2024 and the corresponding allowance amount will be paid by July 31, 2024.

Beneficiaries and conditions

Beneficiaries of the benefit are natural persons, single or married or widowed or persons who have entered into a cohabitation agreement or are separated or divorced, who for their heating consume internal combustion heating oil or lighting oil (blue kerosene) or natural gas or liquid gas or firewood or biomass (pellets) or thermal energy through district heating.

The seven steps to submitting your application

In order to pay the aid, households must enter the myHeating platform of AADE.

Access is done with personal TAXISnet codes. Those who do not have access codes will be identified with the tax identification number and notification number of a tax return of the last 5 years.

They then submit their application, following seven basic steps:

  • They choose whether they live in a single-family house or an apartment building
  • They choose whether they are owners or tenants, so they fill in the owner’s VAT number
  • They choose the type of fuel
  • They complete the Power Supply Number
  • They choose the settlement where the main residence is located
  • They complete the sq.m. of the residence
  • They fill in the IBAN in myAADE
