In memory of Lajos Boros, the Friday morning broadcast of Retro Rádió started on Thursday with the song Lali király, after Lajos Boros died on Thursday after a long illness. Gábor Bochkor was not present in the studio, László Lovász said, because of his pre-planned schedule. Between 1999 and 2009, Gábor Bochkor and Lajos Boros co-hosted Sláger Rádió’s popular morning show Bumeráng, but they worked together at the then Danubius Rádió from 1996.
After his absence on Friday, Gábor Bochkor spoke on Retro Radio for the first time about the death of Lajos Boros – he was noticed by the Story. He said that he could not express himself in connection with the death of Lajos Boros, the reason being that his mother was buried on Friday, but they did not want to say that in advance.
“Obviously I was just as shocked, but my grief is somewhere else now. However, he will be greatly missed. Vogci (János Voga – the author) slept at my place yesterday, and we talked a lot about Lajos, this is how we remembered. That’s how our day ended,” Boros Bochkor said in the broadcast, remembering Lajos Boros.
