After Péter Magyar spoke to Tamás Deutsch, who was traveling on the flight of the Olympians, the Fidesz MEP himself posted about traveling from Paris to Budapest on the “golden plane”. With this text shared it the video: “It is an honor to be able to work for the success of the Hungarian Team as the vice-president of the Hungarian Olympic Committee for 15 years.”
Previously, Péter Magyar, the president of the Tisza Party, and Ferenc Gyurcsány, the president of the Democratic Coalition, criticized the Fidesz EP representative for traveling back to Budapest on the golden plane together with the Hungarian Olympians. Péter Magyar encouraged the government politician to be modest, Ferenc Gyurcsány called what happened unworthy. Péter Magyar that he wrote: “The (s)athlete of the nation travels home on the golden machine. Where else, right Tomi? “Modesty, comrades, if there’s one thing I love about myself, it’s modesty.”
Deutsch probably posted in response to the criticism he received about what he was looking for on the plane, but this too did not go unanswered. This time, Péter Jakab, leader of the People’s Party, commented: “We understand. At that time, he was not acting in the capacity of a representative, but in the capacity of vice-president of MOB. It doesn’t change the essence. Deutsch is a hitchhiker. And not just on this plane.”
