Monterrey’s new head coach, Argentine Martín Demichelis, will not make his debut on the Rayados bench on Friday in the Liga MX advance match where they visit Puebla, according to information from Diego Armando Medina of TUDN.
The Argentine coach will arrive in Dallas, Texas on Wednesday afternoon, where he will apply for his work visa and then take up his position as head of the Mexican team.
The new Monterrey manager will be in the stands at the Cuauhtémoc stadium watching the match alongside the board of directors of the team from Monterrey. The Rayados match against Puebla will be coached by Nico Sánchez and Hugo Castillo as interims.
Demichelis will then fly with the team to arrive together at the Sultana del Norte early Saturday morning, and his official presentation as Rayados de Monterrey coach will not take place until next week.
