But the enormous crane and the first scaffolding are the sign that, inside that skeleton, the Torre dei Moro on Via Antonini will be rebuilt: the 18-storey building on the outskirts of Milan should be inhabited again by the summer of 2026, five years after the fire of 29 August 2021, when the panels covering the facade caught fire. There are 82 families left without a home and a mortgage on their shoulders. The negotiation to block the payment of the installments, says the spokesperson Mirco Bertiwas resolved only recently thanks to the intervention of the prefect of Milan. In the video the interview with Alessandro Franzi.

The owners of the apartments in the Tower have been responsible for the rent of temporary accommodation for three years now, as well as a large part of the costs of demolishing the apartments, which exceeded the insurance limit. Which will however cover the entire cost of rebuilding the building: 26 million euros. The project designed by Marco Piva studio is announced as “a model” for safety and sustainability.
