Cristiano Ronaldo has already opened his account for Al-Nassr in his first match of the new season. CR7 helped the Saudi club to a victory over Al-Taawoun in the semi-final of the Super Cup on Wednesday evening (0-2) and can prepare for the final.
In Saudi Arabia, not only the national champion and the cup winner compete for the Supercup, as is often the case in the European (top) competitions. The runners-up of the two domestic competitions also get a spot in the last four of the Supercup. National champion Al-Hilal previously won on penalties against Al-Ahli, on Wednesday it was Cristiano Ronaldo’s turn to kick off his season with Al-Nassr.
The 39-year-old Portuguese scored 50 goals and provided 13 assists in 51 club matches last season. And on Wednesday, he continued his momentum in the semi-finals of the Super Cup. Ronaldo kicked the 0-2 straight into the net, and had already provided the assist for the opening goal.

The final between Al-Nassr and Al-Hilal is scheduled for Saturday, with last season’s numbers two and one taking on each other.
