CHRIS Hemsworth may be one of Hollywood’s biggest stars. But when it comes to celebrating his birthday, the Thor actor prefers to keep it simple and fun.
The Australian star, who recently celebrated her 41st birthday, surprised fans by opting for a $5 white mud cake from supermarket chain Woolworths.
In a video uploaded on Instagram, Chris is seen enjoying this simple meal alone.
“I just wanted to say thank you for all the birthday wishes and prayers,” Chris said, with his trademark charm.
“I didn’t actually take any photos yesterday so I went and bought myself a cake and I thought I’d have a little private celebration and I got some champagne as well.”
“I also bought some flowers. That’s it. As you get older, you realize that the circle of people around you, the people you love, gets smaller. So that’s why it’s just me. But don’t worry, like I said, I got a delicious cake and some champagne and a little bouquet there.”

The cake, as described on the Woolworths website, is a soft, fluffy sponge topped with glossy white chocolate icing and decorated with dark chocolate swirls.

Last year, as he celebrated his 40th birthday, the Spiderhead actor sent fans into a frenzy after posting a photo of himself standing next to a Woolworths Chocolate Drip Cake.
