After a five-month hiatus, Russia is gradually increasing the use of KN-23 ballistic missiles from North Korea.

This is reported by the publication Defense Express.

In particular, according to message Mykola Oleschuk, Commander of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, on the night of August 11 Russian troops used four such missiles to attack Ukraine. Fragments of such a rocket fell in the Brovary district of the Kyiv region, destroying a private house, as a result of which a 35-year-old man and his four-year-old son were killed, and three more people were injured.

The first episode of the use of this model of missile weapons took place after a long pause July 31KN-23 from the DPRK did not reach the target.

The next episode of the use of these missiles took place August 6 this year, when one of the North Korean KN-23s that fell near Brovary fell apart in the air.

Defense Express suggests that the enemy could have used the five-month pause for work on the refinement of the KN-23 or to develop new tactics for using this weapon for attacks on Ukraine.
