PT JAPFA Comfeed Indonesia Tbk continues to support PB Percasi by making innovations to introduce and increase the interest of the younger generation in the sport of chess.
Their latest program involved a simultaneous chess match between Grandmaster (GM) Susanto Megaranto and 20 Car Free Day (CFD) participants in Jakarta, Sunday (11/8). In addition, they also held a blind chess match that brought Susanto together with celebrity Olga Lydia.
“The simultaneous chess program held in a crowded location like CFD received a positive response from the public. We hope that from here, the seeds of national chess athletes will be born in the future,” said Rachmat Indrajaya, Corporate Affairs Director of PT JAPFA Comfeed Indonesia Tbk.
Rachmat added that this simultaneous activity was a series of events, previously held at Tebet Eco Park on Saturday (10/8), which involved visitors in Fun Chess Games with cash prizes.
He also acknowledged that innovation in chess coaching in Indonesia continues to be developed through the JAPFA Chess Festival sponsored by PT JAPFA Comfeed Indonesia Tbk for the past 24 years. To expand coaching among the community, this activity is also held in crowded locations.
“We are happy to see the enthusiasm of CFD participants in this simultaneous chess. Thus, the game of chess becomes more popular among the public,” said Susanto after the simultaneous chess match.
