Today, August 11, Russia celebrates Builder’s Day: workers in the industry traditionally celebrate their professional holiday on the second Sunday of August. The Arkhangelsk Region has always been famous for its builders; for many, this profession has become dynastic, a life’s work. In recent years, Arkhangelsk has seen a construction boom – residential neighborhoods are being built, schools and kindergartens are being built, and social infrastructure facilities are being repaired.
Builders of the North have always been distinguished by their special fortitude, character and incredible ability to perform complex tasks. On the eve of Builder’s Day, on August 9, a festive concert was held in the Arkhangelsk City Cultural Center. The main organizer of the event was the directorate of the SRO: “Union of Professional Builders”, “Union of Designers” and “Union of Surveyors”.
More than 400 construction professionals gathered for the celebration: managers and employees of dozens of companies in the region, individual entrepreneurs, government officials, and industry veterans. On the professional holiday, they were presented with well-deserved awards for many years of conscientious work, high professionalism, and contribution to the development of the construction industry in the Arkhangelsk Region.
The honorary badge “Construction Glory” from the All-Russian inter-industry association of employers “Russian Union of Builders” was awarded to: Konstantin Veniaminovich Klypin (entrepreneur), Sergey Alekseevich Popkov (head of the construction and operation department of the Lomonosov Northern (Arctic) Federal University), Sergey Petrovich Baal (entrepreneur) and Lyudmila Borisovna Sokolova (engineer for design and estimate work at Specialized Developer A6440 LLC).
The Order “For Merit in Construction” for conscientious work, high professionalism, personal contribution to the development of the construction industry and in connection with a professional holiday was awarded to Andrey Vitalievich Efremov (Director of Techno-Bezopasnost LLC) and Vyacheslav Aleksandrovich Timoshenko (Deputy Director for Technical Affairs of Dom 2970 LLC).
Another award – the medal of the National Association of Builders “For Merit” – was presented to Anatoly Valentinovich Busorgin (leading controller-expert of the SRO “Union of Professional Builders”).
“Every year we prepare for this big holiday for more than a month, and everything happens in one day. We adhere to the principle: “work well, have a good rest.” I hope that this charge that you will receive today will last for the whole year. Builder’s Day is a holiday for most families in the Arkhangelsk region. I congratulate all workers in the industry and wish that companies expand, and that there is not enough space in the offices for new employees, so that the accounts of enterprises grow, as well as the income of employees,” the Chairman of the SRO Council Mikhail PALKIN congratulated those present.
On behalf of the region’s legislators, the event participants were welcomed by the deputy of the Arkhangelsk Regional Assembly, deputy chairman of the committee on budget, economics, financial and tax policy Dmitry GVOZDEV.
“Dear builders and industry veterans! May what you create with your own hands serve for centuries and bring joy and pleasure to people. I wish you new ambitious projects, successful deals and orders, be happy, inspired and cheerful. But also, of course, health, happiness and warmth in your families,” Dmitry Gvozdev noted.
