AI creates jobs in Europe: the 10 startups that hire the most – Innovation Island

L’artificial intelligence (IA) dominated the investment landscape in Europe last year, accounting for around a fifth of total funding with 9 billion dollarsthanks in large part to the boom inGenerative AI. This year, interest shows no signs of slowing down, with major funding rounds ranging from French startup Mistral’s $220 million seed round to the €600 million it recently raised.

Europe as a hotbed of AI talent

Many European AI companies highlight the continent’s wealth of talent, often attributing this to access to highly skilled scientists and engineers. According to the Global venture capital AtomicEurope’s AI talent base has grown more than tenfold over the past decade, to more than 120,000 professionals, surpassing the United States.

AI Startups Booming

Mistral AI (Paris, France): Founded in 2023, it has grown 378% in terms of staff in the last year. The startup develops generative AI models and has raised almost 1 billion euros in equity.

AutogenAI (London, UK): Founded in 2022, it has seen a 366% growth in staff to 140 employees. It specializes in NLP to automate the writing of sales proposals and has raised $65 million.

Kittl (Berlin, Germany): Since 2020, it has seen 242% growth and offers an AI-powered online platform for graphic designers, serving clients such as Warner Bros and Netflix.

Qdrant (Berlin, Germany): Founded in 2021, it offers open-source search tools for complex databases used in AI applications and has raised $37 million.

Touch (Munich, Germany): With a growth of 135%, it offers AI software for supply chain management for SMEs and has raised 50 million euros.

Dexory (London, UK): Grown 124%, uses a combination of AI and robotics to optimize logistics and closed a $19 million Series A round.

Chemify (Glasgow, UK): Since 2022, it has seen 108% growth and uses AI and robotics to accelerate the creation of new molecules.

ANYbotics (Zurich, Switzerland): Grown by 100%, it develops four-legged robots for industrial uses and serves sectors such as oil, gas and mining.

Orb (Munich, Germany): Founded in 2019, it has developed faster and more efficient MRI technology thanks to AI.

Aleph Alpha (Heidelberg, Germania): With 93% growth, it builds language models for businesses and governments and has raised $500 million.

These startups demonstrate Europe’s growing role in AI innovation, with a focus on combining local expertise with strategic funding.
