Mr. Karvelis added that “the purpose of all my actions and efforts was to strengthen the NSS. Above all, of course, was the care and treatment of the common man and every patient.”
He did not fail to underline that his tenure in the administration of the 6th Ministry was not painless. “Suffice it to remind you of the treatment of the unprecedented coronavirus pandemic. An unknown threat without scientific data and conditions as there was no precedent. Together with the scientific community of our region, we managed to have a positive result in this tough battle as we measured the least patient losses”.
Also briefly referred to the projects that have been launched and aim to better cover the medical needs of the residents of the wider region. “Many projects have been launched which I am sure will, upon completion, give new impetus to the health structures of our region. For example, I will refer to the Magnetic Tomographers of Karamandanei and the North Sector Health Center (Agios Alexios), the flyover that will connect the main building of the PGNP with the adjacent paraclinic building and many others that are in progress and will soon be handed over to our fellow citizens” .
“P” tried to get a first statement from the new commander, Ilias Theodoropoulos, but this was not possible.
