The Perseids are one of the most regular and active meteor showers we see on Earth. Their peak activity is on August 12th – that’s today! So are we in for a night of shooting stars? Since the regularity of the Perseids is beyond dispute, the only uncertain variable is the weather.
The night will be clear throughout the country. Another important element is the appropriate location of the observation point – it is worth finding a place in your area where the sky will not be heavily polluted by street/city light. Let’s dress warmly, though – the temperature may drop below 12°C in places.
