The magazine compares “the exuberant crowd” to the early days of Barack Obama, who has also appeared on the cover on several occasions, the most iconic being the illustration in which he appears with the colors of the flag and a lost look that was published in the last edition in 2008.
In his article about the vice president, Time He notes that “Harris has achieved the fastest change in perception (of the Democratic Party) in modern political history.”“after President Joe Biden withdrew and passed the baton to her as the nominee.
Harris’ campaign raised $200 million in its first week, in what she said was the best 24 hours of any candidate in presidential campaign history, and more than 38,000 people registered on vote.org in the 48 hours after she became a prospective candidate.
The magazine notes, however, that for years Democrats “questioned” Harris’s political abilities, “pundits mocked her verbiage and her polls suggested limited appeal.”
