Asuncion, IP Agency.-“The figures for the event that will take place next year in our country are impressive,” said Ricardo Deggeller, general director of sports for the National Secretariat of Sports.
He added that, in principle, it is estimated that around 10,000 hotel beds will be occupied, which could double or even triple, considering that in countries such as Argentina or Chile it usually attracts around 250,000 people.
Deggeller also said that the World Rally Championship will feature the presence of the six best motorsport brands worldwide. “For us it is a great challenge to bring them the best experience of the country,” he said in an interview with the program Tribuna de Paraguay Tv.
He stressed that the presence of these world-class automobile brands is another clear indication of the prestige that this event has acquired. “Automotive companies have already shown great interest in Paraguay and are eager to learn more about our country,” he said.
The World Rally Championship is one of the most important sporting events in the world, with 16 dates spread across 14 nations on four continents.
Paraguay joins this select group, which represents a great challenge, not only to boost tourism and the economy, but also to position the country as a first-class destination for motor sport lovers.
