Phoenix pampers athletes at the closing ceremony of Paris 2024 – 24 Hours

Phoenix appeared in the closing of Paris 2024 by offering a small concert alongside other local artists.

The pop rock band became the highlight of the concert at the Stade de Franceas part of the closing of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

After several rumors, this Sunday, August 11 became a reality, one of the representative bands of the french touchhe appreciated, that is, Phoenix.

Thomas Mars -vocalist- with Deck d’Arcy -bass and keyboard-, Christian Mazzalai -guitar- and Laurent Brancowitz -guitar and keyboard- performed their greatest hits, but what happened next amazed the athletes, attendees and everyone who watched the closing ceremony, including the fans.

Along with AIR, It was Phoenix’s big moment to share the stage and they couldn’t miss performing Playground Lovea song with which Thomas lent his voice -under the pseudonym Gordon Tracks-.

After projecting images of the heroes of these Games, the stadium then became a glamorous Parisian club while Phoenix gave a concert alongside several local artists.

Who is Phoenix?

They are a pop rock quartet that began their musical career in 1995. It is originally from the city of Versailles, France (same as AIR).

It gained greater popularity in the 2000s decade with a movement developed in Paris known as French touch.
