This is how Rangnick’s visit to Bad Wimsbach goes

No football fan should miss this training: On Monday, August 19, none other than ÖFB team boss Ralf Rangnick will be inviting people to train in Bad Wimsbach.

In the Hofmaninger Stadium of the Landesliga West club, the 66-year-old will be watching the young players of the lower house club and the talents of LAZ Wels in a 90-minute session starting at 6 p.m. Afterwards, Austria’s national team coach will also take the Bad Wimsbach team under his wing for 45 minutes. The amateur club won the team manager training in a competition run by the Stiegl brewery.

The coaching position is also in the spotlight at regional league club FC Hertha Wels. After Emin Sulimani was fired, juniors coach Reinhard Furthner took an interim seat on the bench at yesterday’s home game against Weiz (3:2). However, the 37-year-old will not be in charge of the Wels first team permanently: the club is already looking for a successor. Two names can be crossed off the list: Thomas Sageder is not an option, as reported in other media, and Christian Heinle remains head of the new Wels youth center.

In the Upper Austria derby, Gurten won 2-1 in Wallern. Oliver Filip shot Vorwärts Steyr to a 1-0 victory over St. Anna.

Curiosity in the Landesliga Ost during Garsten’s 1:1 draw in the last second against Askö Donau Linz: Garsten’s goalkeeper Stern stormed in the finish – and got the foul free kick that Güngör used to equalize late.
