India’s Neeraj Chopra threw 89.45 meters in the second round, while Germany’s Julian Weber threw the javelin 87.33 meters.
Trinidad’s Walcott Keshorn failed to clear the throw in the second round, while Czech Republic’s Jakub Wedlij managed a throw of 84.52m.
Finland’s Lisi Atalato threw the second throw of 77.60 meters while her compatriot Oliver Helander threw the second throw at 85.68 meters.
The third round
In the third round, Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem threw 88.72 meters while Czech Republic’s Jakob Wedlij threw the javelin 88.50 meters.
Trinidad’s Keshorn Walcutt threw 82.89 meters while Finland’s Lisi Atalato threw 84.58 meters.
In the third round, throws by India’s Neeraj Chopra, Germany’s Julian Weber, Grenada’s Peters Andersen, Kenya’s Julius Yego and Finland’s Oliver Helander were declared fouls.
After the third round, the four athletes with the lowest throws were eliminated from the event, after which the super-eight competition began, with Arshad Nadeem leading the way.

Germany’s Julian Weber threw 87.40 meters, Czech Republic’s Jakub Veldich threw 84.98 meters while Neeraj Chopra also fouled in the fifth throw.
Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem threw the javelin 84.87 meters in the fifth throw.
Sixth round
In the sixth and final round of the finals, Germany’s Julian Weber threw 84.09 meters, Finland’s Lisi Atalato threw 81.69 and Kenya’s Julius Yego threw 81.58 meters.
Czech Republic’s Jakub Veldich threw 83.27 meters while Trinidad’s Keshorn Walcutt withdrew from the competition.
Grenada’s Peters Anderson threw 81.83 meters while Neeraj Chopra also fouled in the sixth throw.
Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem threw the javelin at a distance of 91.79 meters while making the second best throw in the competition and took the record of the second best throw of the Olympics.
Along with this, Arshad Nadeem won the gold medal in the Olympics, which is Pakistan’s first gold medal in the Olympics after a long period of 40 years.
Neeraj Chopra, who threw only one correct throw in the final competition, was awarded the silver medal for throwing more than 89 meters.
