Pertamina Patra Niaga officially raised the price of non-subsidized Pertamax fuel, from Rp12,950 per liter to Rp13,700 per liter. The increase will take effect on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at 00.00 WIB, in areas with a 5% motor vehicle fuel tax (PBBKB), such as in DKI Jakarta.

Acting Corporate Secretary of Pertamina Patra Niaga Heppy Wulansari explained that the fuel price adjustment refers to the trend of average world oil publication prices and the rupiah exchange rate against the US dollar.

“Like other business entities, Pertamina also adjusts the price of non-subsidized fuel,” he said in an official statement, Saturday (10/8).

He continued that his party’s decision to raise the price of non-subsidized fuel was due to the increasing trend in the price of Indonesian crude oil (ICP) since the end of the first quarter of 2024. Since last March, he said, Pertamina has maintained the price of Pertamax unchanged.

The determination of Pertamax fuel prices is in accordance with the regulation of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Decree No. 245.K/MG.01/MEM.M/2022 as an amendment to the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Decree No. 62/K/12/MEM/2020 concerning the price formulation of JBU or non-subsidized fuel. Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Decree No. 62/K/12/MEM/2020 concerning the price formulation of general fuel types (JBU).

“We ensure that this price remains the most competitive for products of equal quality,” concluded Heppy.

The adjustment of the Pertamax series fuel price is done gradually. Previously, other non-subsidized fuel products such as Pertamax Turbo, Pertamax Green 95 and Dex Series have been adjusted in early August. Namely, Pertamax Green was adjusted to Rp15,000 from the previous Rp13,900 per liter, Pertamax Turbo increased to Rp15,450 per liter from the previous Rp14,400 per liter. Then, Pertamax Dexlite became Rp15,350, up from the previous Rp14,550 per liter, and Pertamina Dex at Rp15,650, up from the previous Rp15,100 per liter. (Z-11)
