Trump and Harris ready for televised debate in September

The debates will be held on Fox News, ABC and NBC respectively. The ex-president says it is up to the staff of the Democrats’ presidential candidate Kamala to accept the terms of the debates.

In a post at X confirms the ABC that they will host a debate on 10 September. They write that both Trump and Harris have agreed to the debate.

When Harris met the media after a campaign event in Detroit later in the day, she said she was looking forward to meeting Trump for a debate.

– We have set a date of 10 September. “I hear he’s finally committed to it, and I’m looking forward to it,” Harris said when asked about the debates by NBC. She did not give an answer when asked about the other dates.

On Thursday afternoon, Trump held a press conference at his luxury property Mar-a-Lago in Florida. It is his first public appearance since Vice President Harris was nominated and chose Tim Walz as his running mate.

When asked by a journalist in the room, Trump said that the channel CBS will arrange a debate between the vice presidential candidates, Republican JD Vance and Democrat Tim Walz. Trump did not say anything about the date of the debate.

During the press conference, Trump said that there will be a peaceful transition after the election.

– Of course there will be a peaceful transition, it was also the last time, Trump said, despite his supporters storming Congress on January 6, 2021 to try to prevent the approval of the election results.

– I just hope that the election will be fair, Trump said.
