The Director General of the Gabonese Energy and Water Company (SEEG), Joel Lehman Sandoungout, in a sober ceremony that he chaired on Friday, August 9, 2024 in Libreville, presented checks for 3 million FCFA to each of the 5 new high school graduates of his staff, as part of the school allowance called: “Roland Serge Ndong Excellence Scholarship”.

The initiative is part of SEEG’s social policy aimed at supporting its employees in the education and training of their offspring. The winners, composed of four (04) young ladies and one (01) young man, achieved best averages greater than or equal to 13.

“This allowance recognizes the merit and academic achievements of the children of staff who obtained the best averages in the first round of the baccalaureate,” Mr. Sandoungout said with satisfaction, subsequently calling on the winners to show more discipline and responsibility in order to make the most of this aid.

Established in 2016, the SEEG Excellence Scholarship has already benefited 45 high school graduates. This represents, it is indicated, a total investment of 135 million FCFA already mobilized.

“I congratulate you and urge you to persevere in the quest for academic excellence during your humanities; the new Gabon, started on August 30, 2023, is counting on us today and you tomorrow to experience its true and lasting growth”, he said before emphasizing that this action contributes to the promotion of the culture of excellence, driven at the top of the State by the President of the Transition, General Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema.
