Olympian struggling to make ends meet turns to OnlyFans

Olympians’ compensation sometimes does not reflect the hard work and sacrifice they put in to compete in the Games. So much so that some athletes have started posting sexy photos on the site OnlyFans, which allows them to make ends meet.

This practice was exposed by athletes for the first time in Olympic history this year.

This is particularly the case for two British athletes, Jack Laugher and Noah Williams, and New Zealander Robbie Manson, who admitted using OnlyFans in order to have a way to achieve Olympic success dream.

The same is reportedly the case for Canadian pole vaulter Alyssa Newman Morning, He won a bronze medal at the Olympics on Wednesday.

“It paid off. It gave them the money they needed to compete,” columnist and Olympian Jean-Luc Brassard explained in an interview with TVA Nouvelles.

“Global Issues”

He explained that the findings prove that the funding of high-level athletes is a “global problem.”

It’s still “surprising” that these athletes who performed well and won medals at the Olympics couldn’t make ends meet. “For a long time this has been an ambiguous question in the Olympic movement,” points out Jean-Luc Brassard.

Brassard said winning a medal at the Olympics is “not a guaranteed reward” but more a way to seek sponsors and promote an athlete’s reputation.

A “satire” movement

For columnists and Olympians, the sport is “ironic”. “Athletes must demonstrate their physical prowess to compete on the playing field where Olympic leaders are paid handsomely,” he insisted.

He believes leaders should also seek sponsorship, just as athletes should receive part of their prize money. Jean-Luc Brassard stressed: “If we take the athletes out of the Olympics, there will be no more spectacle, no more sponsors, no more anything to keep.”

He said the athletes performed “for free”. “It’s kind of like if the Rolling Stones played a show at the Bell Center, they would get 50,000 people, but they wouldn’t get paid because they had the opportunity to play the show,” the Olympian said as an example.

On the other hand, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) is very “protective” of its image. So they can tell athletes on OnlyFans “not to put any images on the Olympic website” because they have the right, the columnist explained.
