Hapoel Haifa appealed to Tiberias City Council to lower the ticket prices for the Toto Cup match between the teams, but was denied. Tiberias has set a price of NIS 70, when including commission, each ticket will cost NIS 82. The group’s CEO, Itai Rek, spoke this morning (Tuesday) with the owner of Ironi Tiberias in an attempt to change the price, but that didn’t help either. Itai Rek emphasized in the conversation that “this is an unreasonable price for the Toto Cup game and noted that Hapoel Haifa charges 50 shekels for its home games The Toto Cup (free entry for subscription holders)”. Hapoel fans are furious over what they claim is an exorbitant price and they intend to boycott the game. On the issue of procurement, Hapoel Haifa is close to the loan of Maccabi Tel Aviv midfielder Bar Lin, who was part of the team last season. Lin prefers to return to Haifa after having a good season for him and getting playing minutes. Another player that the Reds want is the Kenyan stopper Johnston Omurwa, who played last season in the Portuguese league for Estrella Amadora. From the point of view of coach Roni Levy, these are two players who will upgrade the squad. Apart from them, Levy wants another quality connection to the front part in place of Tomer Yousfi, who returned to Hapoel B.S. If a situation arises in which Yousfi leaves the Negev capital, Haifa will try to join him.
