Grants to theater schemes are a main parameter of our Culture policies. Their material support ensures ideal conditions for the expression of creators and for the diffusion of their work and inspiration, a factor of social cohesion and solidarity, ensuring employment in the creative sector. At the same time, they also give impetus to the extroversion of modern Greek creation, so that it can conquer wider audiences and on the world stage, as it deserves”.

As we wrote above, among the list we find again this year the two Patristic creators, Christos Strepkos and Telemachos Tsardakas.
Specifically, the AMKE Kantharos – Theater act, i.e. Telemachos Tsardakas, was granted with the amount of 25,000 euros for the project “The best time of the day”a production which is also placed under the auspices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
As for her the Art Machine team and Christos Strepkos, were granted with the amount of 15,000 euros for the show«Marjorie Prime» by Jordan Harrison, which it was finalist for the 2015 Pulinger Prize for Dramawhile it is noted that this performance will also be the pan-Hellenic premiere of the work. It is noted that the show is also under the auspices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In the play we are transported to a future that is not far from our present. Marjorie spends her time rewriting her past in favor of her idealized memories, aided by the interesting innovative technology that allows her to do so. With deeply felt characters – both real and in the form of holograms or “Primes”, the work carves out and poses the most troubling questions of the digital age: are we replacing our memory with a false reality and what does this mean for the preservation of truth ; Marjorie Prime ultimately questions whether the manipulation of our past is an alteration of history or a welcome consolation.
