Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that even if the United Nations and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) do not approve the resolution, the elections will be held on February 8.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari while talking to the media in Modern Colony area of ​​NA 127 Lahore said that it is given the impression that rivers of milk and honey flow in Lahore. Here, the focus is not on the problems of the people but on the elites.

He said that PPP believes in the politics of equality, we are in favor of holding free and fair elections in the country.

He said that Shahbaz Sharif could work in Lahore because of PPK’s NFC award.

In response to a question, Bilawal said that (N) League and PTI are contesting elections so that their leader and founder can escape from jail.

He said that my grandfather founded PPP in Lahore, I am starting my political journey from Lahore, (N) League and PTI have personal agenda while my agenda is public.

Regarding the election, the PP chairman said that even if the UN and OIC do not approve the resolution, the election will be held on February 8. A transparent, impartial election should be held.

He further said that he will contest the selection in this election, in the past General Zia and Hameed Gul imposed political parties on Punjab.

It should be noted that yesterday the Senate had approved the resolution submitted by the independent member from FATA, Dilawar Khan, regarding the postponement of the election.

At the time of passing the resolution, only 14 members were present in the Upper House, out of which only PML-N Senator Afnanullah opposed the resolution while PTI Senator Gardeep Singh and PPP’s Bahramand Tungi remained silent.
