Russia: Fire at an oil refinery from a Ukrainian drone attack VIDEO

On May 10, 2024, a Ukrainian drone caused a fire at an oil refinery in Russia’s Kaluga region, according to the state-run RIA news agency.

Vladislav Sapsa, the regional governor in Kaluga, which borders Moscow Oblast, assured via Telegram that the fire was extinguished very quickly. He did not specify which facility it was.

For its part, RIA reported that three tanks with diesel fuel and one with fuel oil were destroyed at the refinery in Pervi Zavod in Kaluga. According to Mr. Sapsa, there were no losses.

According to protothema, there has been no comment from the Ukrainian side so far.

OR Ukraine has escalated attacks with UAVs targeting Russian energy infrastructure, especially refineries. Since the beginning of the year, the production capacity in terms of fuel refining in Russia has decreased by 15%, an official estimated NATO early last month.
