Supreme Court seeks response from government on transfer of Margalla Hills National Park to Home Ministry – Pakistan

The Supreme Court sought the government’s response on the transfer of the Margalla Hills National Park to the Ministry of Home Affairs and the details of Pine City, a housing project on the Margalla Hills, while the Supreme Court stopped the dismissal of Chairperson Wildlife Board Rana Saeed from the Ministry of Wildlife Board. It also stopped the execution of the notification of subordination of the interior.

A case related to the change of Wildlife Board Management Office and Chairperson was heard in the Supreme Court.

The Chief Justice of Pakistan remarked that the Supreme Court ordered the protection of the Margalla National Park, a national asset. After the court order, the Chairperson Wildlife Board was removed from office. The work of the Ministry of Interior is to look after the matter of public order.
