Asuncion, IP Agency.- The Minister of Agriculture and Livestock, Carlos Giménez, met with the governor of Ñeembucú, Víctor Hugo Fornerón, and mayors of the department, within the framework of the School Feeding Program “Zero Hunger.” Through joint work, they seek to ensure that local agricultural production supplies the feeding program in schools.
On this occasion, the head of the agricultural portfolio stressed that they wish to guide producer organizations and the actions of the Paraguayan government through coordination with the authorities, which will have a greater impact on the development of the countryside.
He also pointed out that the MAG supports the producer in a comprehensive manner, aiming for sustainability and continuous production.
He said that it is essential to identify good entrepreneurs and individual producers in order to support them as necessary.
Giménez also emphasized that the ministerial portfolio under his charge is prepared to plan joint work actions and achieve effectiveness.
Family Farming Fair’s revenue exceeds 283 million guaraníes
On the other hand, the Family Farming Fair held this Thursday on the Asunción Coastline ended successfully, with a total collection of Gs. 283,732,000, reported the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock.
It directly benefits 550 rural families from various departments of the country. On this occasion, the transport of the producers from their farms to the sales premises was carried out by Senave, Banco Nacional de Fomento and the Agracia Extension Directorate, with the support of Itaipu Binacional.
The Government of Paraguay, through the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock and its technical departments, promotes Family Farming Fairs, positively favoring the development and dynamism of the productivity of rural families in the country.
