The German national team defender has scored six goals and ten assists in a total of 87 competitive matches so far.
Just over two weeks ago, the German Bild stated that Real Madrid is considering signing Schlotterbeck this summer.
The 24-year-old is now responding to rumors of a move from the German big club.
I am really happy to be in BVB.
– At some point I would probably be tempted to go abroad, but I have been here for two years now and have identified so much with BVB that I really want to play here for a third season, and probably the fourth and fifth as well. I am really happy to be in BVB and also see it as a certain honor, he told Sky Sport Germany.
– I am aware of (the Real Madrid rumours). At some point maybe we can talk about it, but for now only Borussia Dortmund matters in my mind and I think for the next few years as well, continues Schlotterbeck.
Lately, it has also been reported that Dortmund wants to extend with the back star.
– For me, everything is possible here. I am very happy at BVB. We will see in the coming weeks, he says.
Schlotterbeck has made 14 caps for Germany so far.
His contract with Dortmund runs until the summer of 2027.
