First Lady highlights contribution of public and private sector to Toy Bank for children

Asuncion, IP Agency.- The Toy Bank, which consists of collecting toys to then distribute to children as part of the celebration of Children’s Day, had a positive response from public and private institutions. The initiative to give more smiles to children is promoted by the Office of the First Lady, the Ministry of Children and Adolescents, and the National Secretariat for Youth.

First Lady Leticia Ocampos said “with great emotion” that “each toy we receive is not just an object, but an opportunity to provide happy and memorable moments to those children who are in vulnerable situations.”

This Wednesday, during the symbolic donation of toys to the Toy Bank, with the participation of the Executive authorities who brought their contributions.

The donations, made in numerous locations throughout the country, will reach children from indigenous communities and districts prioritized by the Social Protection System.

The Minister of Children and Adolescents, Walter Gutiérrez, highlighted the acceptance that the initiative had, and that this year, for the first time, donations also came from State institutions, which he thanked, as well as civil society organizations and cooperating private companies for joining this initiative.

“Each donated toy is a seed of joy that we plant in the hearts of our children. With these donations we will reach indigenous communities and districts prioritized by the Social Protection System,” she said.
