OPECA: Within December the payment of the extraordinary benefits – The date – 2024-08-08 03:02:57

The Ministry of Social Cohesion and Family, with the supervised Organization of Benefits and Social Solidarity (OPEKA), informs that on Friday, December 22, 2023, OPECA’s extraordinary benefits of 175 million euros will be paid.

Specifically:

For the Child Allowance an additional 1.5 installments are paid, indicatively a family with two children who receives a child allowance of 140 euros, will receive 350 euros. The increase will be 150%.

For Persons with Disabilities the allowance will rise to 200 euros.

Those who receive the Minimum Guaranteed Income will receive half of the monthly payment while the 8% increase that started in December is also recalled.

Beneficiaries of the Uninsured Elderly benefit will receive an extraordinary aid of 150 euros.

It is noted that the regular payments of the Monthly Allowances and the Child Allowance from OPECA will be made on the same day.

Minister Sofia Zaharaki stated: “Consistent with the announcement of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis for the emergency support of the most vulnerable fellow citizens, we inform you about the payment of the emergency allowances by OPECA, which will help cover a part of the increased financial needs of our fellow citizens. At the heart of this year’s emergency support is the Greek family, people with disabilities and our elderly fellow citizens. Fully aware of our debt to the citizen most in need, the Ministry of Social Cohesion and Family will continue.”
