The Jakarta Manpower, Transmigration and Energy Agency (Nakertransgi) revealed that many start-up companies are conducting Termination of Employment (PHK). Si Cepat is the start-up that has conducted the most layoffs during 2024.
Head of the Manpower and Transmigration Service Hari Nugroho said the data was collected from January to June 2024 from the Manpower and Transmigration Service in five areas of DKI Jakarta.
“PT Sicepat Ekspres Indonesia (laid off) 676 people,” said Hari in his official statement, Tuesday (6/8).
Apart from SiCepat, the second start-up that laid off the most people was Zenius or PT Zona Edukasi with 95 workers.
Next, in third place is PT Tokopedia with a total of 84 workers laid off. In fourth place is Jak TV or PT Danapati Abinaya Investama with a total of 70 workers laid off.
“(The rest) PT Shopee Indonesia 41 people, PT Lamudi Classified Indonesia 14 people, PT Ruang Raya Indonesia or Ruang Guru two people,” Hari emphasized. (Z-11)
