United Kingdom arrests almost 400 people in violent demonstrations

The security situation is worsening in the United Kingdom after the arrest of 378 people for being involved in violent protests called by far-right groups, reported the chief inspector of the Council of British Police Chiefs, Gavin Stephens.

Likewise, the security forces continue to identify those involved in order to arrest them, in an attempt to guarantee the population a united and robust police response against the violence unleashed throughout the country, he told the British media Sky News.

For its part, on Monday night Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Keir Starmer, announced the creation of a permanent unit of 400 specialized police officers to deal with violent disturbances such as those that occurred in the last week.

The protests supported by the extreme right began after the multiple stabbing that occurred on July 29 in Southport, northwest of England, in which three girls died and where eight minors and two adults were injured after a 17-year-old boy entered a recreational center and attacked the attendees of a yoga workshop.

The author of the attack, Axel Rudakubana, 17 years old, born in Wales and of Rwandan parents, was the author of the atrocious crime, however, the unrest of extremist groups increased when several fake news was disseminated on the internet indicating that the aggressor was an asylum seeker who had crossed the English Channel by boat.
