During Friday and Saturday, the PAN president was able to speak with opposition leaders such as Henrique Capriles, former president of the Chamber of Deputies and then presidential candidate in 2013, remaining to a single percentage point to beat Maduro.

He also spoke with César Pérez Divas, former general secretary of the COPEI party and former governor of Táchira, Freddy Delgado Dalo, director of Organization of IFEDEC and former deputy to the defunct Congress of the Republic, and Miguel Parra, general secretary of the Citizen Movement UNION Y PROGRESO.

Finally, visited the largest neighborhood in Latin AmericaPetare, in the Sucre municipality of Miranda state, connected to Caracas, where he met with former presidential candidate Gabriel Puerta Aponte.

With Nicolás Maduro, more intimidation than with Hugo Chávez

In these dialogues they told him that in this electoral process there was a greater intimidation than what was suffered under Hugo Chávez, which is why some are afraid, “but everyone has enormous hope that this Sunday they will succeed in defeating the dictator.”

The meeting that was to be held on Saturday night with the opposition candidates was still pending. Edmundo Gonzalez and Maria Corinaas well as the tours he would make on Sunday in some voting centers in Caracas, to see the development of the electoral day and the turnout of voters.

“It should be mentioned that it is completely unprecedented and undemocratic that in the middle of the electoral process in Venezuela, in all its streets only advertising for the official candidate could be seen or of its bishop parties.”

“It must be said clearly that there is not a single advertisement for the opposition candidates Edmundo González and María Corina, who despite everything in several surveys They put them with a 17 to 25 percentage point advantage“.

“Full support” for the people of Venezuela

“We express our Full support for the Venezuelan people so that they can vote freely, without pressure.”

“We, as an international community, will watch from wherever we are because their human rights are respectedtheir guarantees in the electoral process, so that it is transparent, peaceful and the regime accepts the result,” he stressed.

The PAN leader condemned the abuse of power and constant violations of human rights that candidates, opposition leaders and citizens have suffered due to the Maduro regime.

He denounced that some opposition mayors were forced to testify in favor of Madurounder penalty of inventing a crime against them and their families.

Various opposition political leaders and operators also suffered the Breaking and entering in their houses.

“The eyes of the world on Venezuela”

“Los The eyes of the world are on Venezuelawe will be very attentive from the National Action Party to denounce any attempt at fraud by the Maduro government.”

“This process is so undemocratic that the regime simply did not allow entry, expelled from the country and revoked invitations from all non-aligned international observersseeking to prevent critical eyes from being able to verify and disseminate what is happening.”

I trust that, despite everything, the Venezuelan people will prevail and free themselves.

“Edmundo González is a diplomat who, if he wins, could generate understandings for a peaceful transition with the regime.”

“Modern dictatorships come to power through votes and leave through votes, through the excesses of a government and the resulting weariness of the people.”

After experiencing it firsthandI sincerely wish Venezuela, the United Opposition Platform, Edmundo González and María Corina Machado all the success; and I hope that we will never, ever experience in Mexico what the Venezuelan people are suffering,” he concluded.
