Circulation Fees 2024: Two-month extension for their payment – 2024-08-06 23:46:59

Extension of two months, until 29 February 2024; for the payment of the 2024 traffic fees, decided, according to information, to give the Minister of National Economy and Finance Kostis Hatzidakis.

The two-month extension, which is expected to be announced immediately, also concerns those who are thinking of submitting their car registration plates to avoid paying fees and subsistence allowances. They will now have two months to circulate their vehicles normally, covered by the extension but no later than February 29, 2024 they should proceed with digital immobilization of their vehicle to avoid facing fines.

The payment of traffic fees is done digitally through AADE, with or without taxisnet codes by filling in the vehicle’s VAT number and registration number.

The extension to be announced does not affect those who transfer vehicles within the extension period. In order to complete the transfer, the registration fees for the year in which the transfer takes place must be paid in advance.

For example, if a vehicle is transferred on 5 January 2024, the 2024 road tax will have to be paid as it is impossible to transfer ownership of a vehicle without first paying the road tax for the year in which the transfer takes place.
