SYRIZA: Kasselakis promotes changes to anyone who likes them 2024-08-06 05:54:43

Not counting the reactions of the “Tsipras guard” and having a fresh summit agreement with Pavlos Polakis for a return to the Parliamentary Group in September and an alliance at the Congress, Stefanos Kasselakis is proceeding normally with the changes he has announced to limit bureaucracy, implement direct democracy procedures , simplifying the party structure, etc.

He persists, despite the reactions:

in the replacement of the Central Committee by the National Council of Members, which will consist of 201 members (including ex officio 20 coordinators & 20 deputy coordinators of the Regional Member Committees) and will elect the secretary, the Coordinator of the Organization and the Organizational Committee of party, the Political Council of Members, the coordinators & deputy coordinators of the Departments.

In the activation of the Municipal Member Committees that will be digital and the abolition of the current party organization (Sectoral and Prefectural Committees).

In the abolition of the Political Secretariat and its replacement by the Political Council of Members, which will consist of 21 members: the president, the secretary and the coordinator of the Organizational party, the head of K.O. (in case the president is not a member of parliament), the secretary and the director of K.O. and will be supplemented by the rotating annual participation of 50% of the K.O.’s deputies. and by 50% of the coordinators of the Departments.

In the abolition of the Ordinary Congress and its replacement by the National Assembly of Members, which will be convened every 3 years and in which 10% of the delegates and members of the party will participate by lottery.

At the same time, Mr. Kasselakis is trying not to put them to a vote in the Central Committee so that the two referendums proposed by the internal party opposition are not included in the proposal to the Constituent Assembly.
