Supreme Court judge Justice Mazahir Naqvi resigned from the post

Supreme Court judge Justice Mazahir Naqvi resigned from the post. A reference against Supreme Court judge Justice Mazahir Naqvi is pending in the Supreme Judicial Council, in which he submitted his detailed response to the council today.

Yesterday, the Supreme Court of Pakistan rejected Justice Mazahir Naqvi’s request to stay the proceedings of the Supreme Judicial Council.

Justice Mazahir Naqvi’s constitutional petition was heard by a 3-member special bench of the Supreme Court headed by Justice Aminuddin Khan, the bench also includes Justice Jamal Khan Mandukhel and Justice Musrat Hilali.

It should be noted that Justice Syed Mazahir Ali Akbar Naqvi had challenged the 2 show cause notices issued by the Supreme Judicial Council in the Supreme Court on November 30 and requested to declare them null and void.

On December 15, the Supreme Court of Pakistan rejected Justice Mazahir Naqvi’s request to immediately stop the proceedings of the Supreme Judicial Council.

It should be remembered that Justice Mazahir Naqvi had demanded to open judicial council proceedings against him, he had written a letter to the judicial council in which he demanded open proceedings against him.

In his reply, Justice Mazahir Naqvi denied the allegations leveled against him and said that the Supreme Judicial Council can take information against the judge but the council cannot act on any complaint against the judge.

In the detailed reply, it has been said that the orders issued by the Supreme Judicial Council are tantamount to contempt of the rules, according to the rules, the person giving information to the council has no role in the proceedings.

Justice Mazahir Naqvi also objected to the appointment of the Attorney General as a prosecutor and said that one of the complainants in the council is the Pakistan Bar Council. are

In his reply, Justice Mazahir further said that the Pakistan Bar met the then Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on February 21.

It is further stated in the reply that the order to summon the witnesses before submitting the answer to the show cause is against the law, this allegation is completely false that anyone can approach me easily, Ghulam Mahmood Dogar could not have set the case before himself. This is an administrative matter while no relief was given in the Ghulam Mahmood Dogar case.
