Friday’s Hungarian program about the Olympics: Dobó SE competitors start

On Wednesday, as the defending champion, Milák finished second behind the home star, Léon Marchand, in the pool of the Paris La Défense Aréna. In his other event, the 100-meter butterfly, he won a silver medal three years ago in Tokyo behind the American Caeleb Dressel. In the preliminaries on Friday morning, in addition to the eight-time Olympic champion Dressel, there will also be Hubert Kós, who reached the finals on Thursday evening with the best time in the 200-meter backstroke. Dalma Sebestyén will jump into the pool on Friday morning in the 200-meter medley and Ajna Késely in the 800-meter freestyle.

The men’s dueling team will fight Kazakhstan for the semi-finals from 1:30 p.m. On Sunday, defending world champion Máté Koch already said goodbye in the first round, and Olympic silver medalist Gergely Siklósi said goodbye in the round of 16. At the same time, Tibor Andrásfi, participating in his first Olympics, finished in fourth place with excellent fencing.

The Stade de France, which hosts the athletics competitions, will also be in full swing, and five Hungarians will be interested in the opener. In the qualifying round of the men’s hammer throw, from 10 a.m., in addition to the two-time world champion Bence Halász (Dobó SE), the third, Donát Varga (Dobó SE) and Dániel Rába (Dobó SE), who so far only competed at the age group level, will enter the throwing circle. Boglárka Takács, the national champion, is trying her luck in the preliminaries of the women’s 100m flat race, while Viktória Wagner-Gyürkés is in the preliminaries of the women’s 5000m.

Sára Ráhel Fábián, fourth in the air pistol at last year’s world championship, and Veronika Major, eighth in the Olympic air pistol on Sunday, will take part in the women’s sport pistol basic competition.

Mária Érdi, the world and European champion in the ILCA 6 boat class, and Jonatán Vadnai, the European champion silver medalist in the ILCA 7, will continue their performance in the Marseille yacht harbor with further races.

The men’s handball national team, which is in a difficult situation, will play against world champion Denmark at 9 a.m. – they really need a (brave) victory

The women’s water polo team will play against China from 20.05. It speaks for the Hungarians that the Asian rivals have lost all three of their group matches so far, which is a rallying cry.
