PKB Deputy Chairman Jazilul Fawaid said his party is still considering joining the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) Plus to nominate a candidate in the 2024 Jakarta Regional Head Election (Pilkada).

According to him, the consideration will be based on togetherness and collaboration between political parties for the good of Jakarta. According to him, the good for Indonesia will still be determined from the Jakarta Pilkada.

“Indonesia needs collaboration, including in Jakarta. And PKB always prioritizes togetherness,” said Jazilul at the Parliament Complex, Jakarta, today.

He explained that the term KIM Plus emerged from the Daily Chair of the Gerindra Party Sufmi Dasco Ahmad some time ago. He also considered that KIM Plus would later become a collaboration of all political forces.

“If there is collaboration in DKI, then there will also be collaboration nationally. Because DKI and national overlap closely,” he said.

Even so, he admitted that his party would also monitor the political dynamics in the coming period ahead of the registration of regional head candidates at the KPU. So far, he also ensured that the PKB DKI Jakarta DPW is still preparing the name of Anies Baswedan.

However, if KIM Plus is formed, he believes there will only be one coalition axis in the Jakarta Pilkada. “If it becomes the crystallization of the KIM Plus coalition, then one candidate. Just look at the composition of the acquisition of parties in DKI,” he said.

Previously on Wednesday (31/7), Gerindra Party Daily Chair Sufmi Dasco Ahmad announced that there would be a KIM Plus for the Jakarta Pilkada. However, he said the names that would be nominated as regional heads were only known by the party’s general chairmen. (Ant/P-2)
