More than 60 companies interested in improving the domain strip of almost 3,000 km of roads

Asuncion, IP Agency.- The Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) received bids from 62 companies interested in improving the highway lane, a project promoted with the aim of increasing road safety.

The tender, identified with ID No. 441,770, was published on the portal of the National Directorate of Public Procurement (DNCP) with a total estimated investment of G. 225,100,111,724 in its 23 lots tendered.

The contract covers the management of road cleaning and maintenance, with the aim of meeting specific indicators established in the tendering rules. These standards and service indices seek to guarantee a high-quality road network for all citizens.

The scope of the works covers more than 2,800 kilometers of national and departmental routes, intersections and roundabouts throughout the country.

The contract has a term of seven calendar months, with an initial phase of 90 days for commissioning works, followed by the maintenance phase.

Park Improvement

In addition to the roads, the contract includes the maintenance of important recreational areas such as the Ñu Guasú Park and the Metropolitan Park.

In these parks, the work will include the maintenance of walkways and cycle paths, care of works of art, maintenance of sports areas and lagoons, preservation of green areas, and maintenance of access porticos and perimeter fences, among other interventions.

This call represents a significant effort to improve Paraguay’s road and recreational infrastructure, which could have a positive impact on the quality of life of citizens and on the country’s economic development, MOPC reported.
