The famous actress Renata del Castillo, known for her participation in productions such as Como dice el dicho and Lo que callamos las mujeres, is currently battling cancer that was diagnosed in 2023. Since then, she has been undergoing chemotherapy treatments.
With the mission of sharing her experience with the illness, the actress accepted the project and decided to say goodbye to her followers with a special chapter of Lo que callamos las mujeres in which she will discuss the type of cancer she is suffering from in order to raise awareness and show another side of the disease.
In an interview, Renata del Castillo talked about how she has taken on this new challenge and expressed her happiness at being able to convey a powerful message to all the women who are going through the same thing.
“I saw it as an opportunity to be a spokesperson for something different and important like being well. You wake up the next day, have a good cry, and continue with your life. I don’t see it as complex, although people want to see it that way, but it is not complex by itself,” she said.
Similarly, del Castillo sent a powerful message to those people who have just been diagnosed with any cancer and how life must change from that point onwards.
“It represents something very beautiful by telling people that this is a life opportunity, not a death sentence. To convey something important to the public, something beyond what is said about cancer,” she continued.
A few days ago, Renata del Castillo requested financial help from her followers through a post on Instagram to undergo a new treatment, which has restored her hope for life.
“I have terminal cancer, the doctors have given me no hope, chemotherapy treatments have been contraindicated for me. I have experienced a series of complications that have almost taken me to death,” said the actress in her post.
