Paris 2024: Venezuela’s participation in the Olympic Games on August 4

On Sunday, August 4, Venezuelan athlete Rosa Rodríguez secured her ticket to the hammer throw final by achieving a throw of 71.76 meters. In her debut, she managed to place tenth in the overall ranking of that Olympic discipline.

This is the fourth time the Creole has participated in the Olympic Games. The hammer throw final will be on Tuesday, August 6 at 1:57 pm (Venezuela time).

For his part, Carabobo native Douglas Gómez completed his participation in these Olympic events after finishing 29th in the qualifying round of pistol shooting (25 metres).

The athlete managed to score 569-12x and finished behind the Japanese Dai Yoshioka, who scored 572-12x. This competition took place at the Chateauroux Shooting Centre, 272 kilometres from the capital of France.

Where to watch Venezuelan athletes participate in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games

People in Venezuela will be able to watch the competitions on open TV on the TVES channel and through the Claro Sports YouTube channel.

Another channel that will broadcast the Olympics will be Telesur, which can be tuned in through channel 13 on Inter; and 722 through SimpleTV.

The Claro Sports app is also available through the SimplePlus and VenevisiónPlay applications.

The Olympic Games take place between July 26 and August 11 and bring together 10,672 athletes from 196 nations.
